RARE Vintage Navajo Sterling Silver Turquoise & MOP Inlay Cuff Bracelet
This listing is for a handcrafted Navajo cuff bracelet made of sterling silver, turquoise, and mother of pearl. This is a rather rare and older Lee family piece. It is in excellent vintage condition. The face features 3 large rectangular sections with impeccable inlay of blue green spiderweb turquoise and mother of pearl. The matrixes in the turquoise have a large range of color hues including, red, brown, beige, and black while the mother of pearl has its classic iridescent sheen. The two stones contrasting beautifully next to each other make for a lovely piece. Loosely twisted rope borders the edges of the inlaid sections to finish off the design. The cuff graduates in size and is made from a sturdy double silver shank cuff. The inside is flattened to lay on the wrist while the front is rounded for eye appeal. The two shanks come together at each end forming a point that has been smoothed and rounded for easy accessibility. A gorgeous piece with a classic and elegant design, great for todays trending bohemian styles. The quality and craftsmanship is extremely high on this piece and will not disappoint the avid vintage collector. Weight – 36 Grams. Inner circumference end to end – 5-5/8. Gap – 1 (slightly adjustable up or down 1/4). Total circumference including gap – 6-7/8 (will fit up to a 6-3/4 wrist comfortably). Width of cuff – 1-5/8 wide at front center, tapers down to 1-3/8 wide at each side section, and continues to taper down to each end at the gap/opening. Center inlay section measures – 1-5/8 tall by 3/4 wide (including twisted rope). Two side Inlay sections measure – 1-3/8 tall by 5/8 wide (including twisted rope). Signed by Artist – YES, , signature of Navajo Artist Norman Lee. Stamped Sterling – NO, tested and verified. Mid – Century, 1960s -1970s. Condition – Preowned, in excellent vintage condition with all original inlays and naturally aged dark patina, ready to wear or display. I treat every item as if it were my own.
