This is an amazing vintage 1975 signed Navajo sterling silver Lander Blue turquoise ring. This ring features a fabulous bezel-set approximately 20-carat piece of rare natural Nevada Lander Blue turquoise surrounded by beautiful applique silverwork. The wide band also has applique feathers on each side. The inside of the ring is double stamped by “EH” for Elgin Hoskey and a “Crown with a K” for Keith Turner of Gallup, NM. The ring is a size 9 1/4 and is sizeable. It measures 1 7/8 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide. The ring weighs 1.11 ounces or 31.5 grams. Add this one-of-a-kind ring to your collection. Description: This rare, gorgeous certified Lander Blue turquoise & sterling silver concho belt features conchos that have a cluster of 7 small Lander Blue turquoise cabochons surrounded by hand stamped sterling silver all created by the known Navajo artist, Thomas Jim. Marked as sterling silver. Additional Info: This belt came from the Yoder collection. Barbara Yoder was a well-known and respected dealer of Native arts and jewelry. Her and her husband (the former Jerry Egeland) were original investors in the Lander Blue claim in the early 1970s. They took their payback in the form of turquoise, and as such, amassed one of the largest private collections of real Landers. Some of their Lander collection was featured in the book, Turquoise, The Gem of the Centuries, by Oscar T. Branson, published in 1975. The Yoder (Egeland) turquoise was featured on P. Their collection is well known as being authentic Lander Blue turquoise. As additional provenance, Bob Brucia, current owner of the Lander Blue claim, and recognized Lander Blue authority, has also independently inspected this belt and signed a certificate of authenticity. This is a sterling silver Navajo handmade wide band ring with a natural gem grade New Lander stone. The stone is a beautiful pale green with an amazing black web matrix. The stone sits in a smooth bezel with a hand twisted rope of silver at the base. The silver work on this ring beautiful! Cadman added stamped fans to each side of the amazing stone. He covered the entire band end to end with deep Navajo hand stamp work and stamped the amazing custom bezel as well. Donovan completed this ring with dark oxidation and a satin finish. The band measures 3/4 inch and tapers down to 3/8 inch. The face of this ring is 7/8 inch and the stone measures 3/4 inch by 1/2 inch. Weighs 11.4 grams.
