Offered is a ” MUSEUM QUALITY ” one of a kind Nez Perce cornhusk and beaded bag. The bag is 14 3/4″ tall and 12″ wide. The beaded side of the bag has a very nice geometric design. The background is done with pink beads. The design features black, blue, green and red cut FACETED beads. The design catches light and reflects it in a bold manner. Now to the other side of the bag that features a cornhusk back with a yarn design that is outlined and spot filled in cut beads. If a person closes their eyes and puts a hand on the design, they then can sort of make out the design. I have had this bag for almost twenty-five years and have often thought that this bag was made for a person that was going blind or blind? The workmanship is outstanding. I have yet in all the years of collecting to have seen a bag such as this one. My thoughts are that this plateau bag was a product of the Yakima Nation.
