Handmade by Navajo silversmith Andy Cadman, Andy comes from a long line of silversmiths and learned his trade from his brothers Daniel “Sunshine” Reeves, and Gary Reeves. Andy Cadman makes beautiful Navajo silver works of art, implementing deep hand stamped designs that cover his entire creations. This is a sterling silver Navajo handmade wide band ring, with a natural rare high grade Fox Turquoise stone. The stone is a beautiful blue and green color with a red/brown host rock matrix. The stone sits in a smooth bezel with a hand twisted rope of silver at the base. The silver work is extraordinary and done in traditional old style Navajo fashion. Andy added repousse bump outs, beads, and twisted silver wire to the sides of the beautiful stone. He covered the entire ring in deep Navajo stamp work. Andy finished the silver work with a beautiful dark oxidation and a high shine. This ring is a size 8.5 The face of this ring measures 7/8 inch and the band measures 13/16 inch, and tapers down to 7/16 inch, the stone measures 3/4 inch by 9/16 inch. Weighs 17.2 grams Stamped A. This is a vintage Navajo old pawn, silver and turquoise decorated clock signed by Percy Spencer. While old pawn jewelry is common, Navajo decorated clocks by listed artisans are quite a rarity. The workmanship of the silver decoration and turquoise is of the highest quality. The whole frame of the clock and the decoration were created and fabricated by the artist and the clockworks are supplied by another company. The clock does not work and there is a small sliver of glass missing along an edge of the clocks glass cover. The clock has an unusual hand (see the pictures), likely for an alarm setting, that has an arrow decoration adding to the Native American style. Since the word STERLING does not appear by the artists name, I assume the frame of the clock is a base metal to which the silver and turquoise decoration is attached. There is some underlying gold wash that shows up through the silver on the frame. A nice patina has developed around the raised silver decoration. The dimensions are about 7.5 inches wide, 4.5 inches high and 2.5 inches in depth at the base. Check out the pictures to see the beautiful vintage workmanship.
