Hard to find pieces like this!! This is a large statement ring. Hard to come across SIMPLICIO jewelry these days. Although most of his work is unsigned, many collectors can identify his work from the jewelrys design and also the stamp work on Snake. Ive gotten plenty of compliments on this bold eye catching ring. I added some pictures for you to see including measurements. My ring size is a 12 and its a little loose on me. Since there is a opening gap, you can have the ring adjusted to better fit your finger. Its a heavy ring. This super rare find is an eye catching piece. Probably wont find another like it. Hate to see it go but it is time for me to downsize my collection. The item “Super Rare Early Zuni DAN SIMPLICIO Massive Sterling & Turquoise Snake Ring 32G” is in sale since Sunday, April 4, 2021. This older piece is fabulous larger Seed Pot made by the outstanding artisan Tom Polacca. Of the Hopi Pueblo of. These ” Museum Quality” pieces by him are so scarce, much desired, highly collectible, and this one is just. Terrific as it may be one of a kind. This carved Seed Pot shows the classic style developed but Tom over the years. But as an innovator in pottery design, this piece comes with an almost Turquoise Necklace design and turquoise Feather Seeds around the top circle. Great classic Hopi Geometric designs with stacking arrows and traditional Hopi Geometric Symbols… It is 4.5″ tall and 6.5″ across in diameter. Its the only pot of his that I have found in what research I have done, that offers his Turquoise Inlay on a pot, to the public. Its a rare piece indeed. It is in perfect condition with no chips cracks repairs or damage. The piece is Carved signed Tom Polacca in his classic ” Signature Series” coined phrase, due to the carved name vs the painted name on the bottom of pots. Supposedly, only the carved name pieces were the ” Museum Quality ” pieces he put out according to documented statements by Tom. The piece is also dated 1990. There were a couple available at the high-end shops in Santa Fe. One larger piece at 3300.00, and the others, mostly jars, at 1600.00 – 2500.00. None with Turquoise and no other seed pots. Its a scarce sweet piece and if you want a one of a kind piece from a historic pottery Artisan, this is it, great addition to any collection! Any questions PLEASE ask! Tom Polacca is the son of Fannie Nampeyo, and grandson of famed Hopi potter, Nampeyo. Tom has been producing pottery since 1955 and has become a Master Potter on his own, much like his Mother and Grandmother. Tom’s innovative self developed style is reflected in his relief designs. He, like his grandmother, has developed a new approach to Hopi pottery. He has skillfully blended traditional elements with a contemporary style. He formed pottery in the traditional coil method. The basic vessel was slipped in an apparent rag-wiped light tan slip revealing various shades of the color. The design was carved into the clay using a variety of techniquesdeep carving for the outlines, shallow carving for details, and incising for highlights. He then used basic vegetable and mineral paints in rust, brown and tan colors as his palette. Once in a while a piece is produced that is special to Tom. These pieces he calls his “museum quality” pieces, and they are distinguishable from the others because on these, and only on these , he will engrave his signature into the bottom. You might even say these are. This is one of those. Every detail has been elaborately etched into the pottery surface. He has meticulously made sure that nothing was overlooked, from the delicately ribbed feathers style around the rim, to those around the base. Tom had recently taken his designs to a new level with additional depth and color. The designs come alive and seem to leap right from the pottery surface. Tom worked hard developing the process that made him famous – one source even referring to Tom as the patriarch of Hopi Pottery. Tom has been featured in many books and magazines which focus primarily on elite Indian arts. He is mentioned in several prominent works on Hopi pottery, including. Hopi-Tewa Pottery: 500 Artist Biographies. The Art of the Hopi. By Jerry and Lois Jacka. Fourteen Families in Pueblo Pottery. By Rick Dillingham, and many others. Thomas received wide acclaim for his pottery over the years and his work is in numerous museums such as the Heard, the Denver Art Museum and others. Morenci turquoise is one of the most rare and collectible turquoise in the world. It was originally mined in southeastern Arizona until its depletion. Stamped “L K” and “Sterling” by Master Navajo silversmith Larry Kaye. The pendant measures a large 1 & 1/4″ tall (NOT including the bail) by 1″ wide. Will Denetdale Navajo solid 14k Turquoise Kachina bolo tie! This is a stunning piece very rare I do not think this artist made many of these in 14 karat gold you see these mostly in sterling silver the center slide piece is made out of 14 karat gold, turquoise which I believe he has Jade eyes and the little small figure in the center has emerald eyes and ruby mouth. It is marked 14 karat gold with the Maker’s name on the back the only thing that is not not gold is the mechanism that locks the leather it is made out of brass because this no way could be made out of gold it just wouldn’t last but the rest of it is 14 karat gold. The two bottom pieces are also solid 14-karat gold. The drum which ways 16.5 grams and the little Jester figure also solid gold weighs 11.75 grams. I was able to get the center slide off and weigh it. It weighs a little under 30 grams so considering the leather bolo lock mechanism it’s probably around 25g total weight of solid gold and jewels. I figured that there’s about at least 50 g of 14 karat gold and jewels. The value in this piece is from the awesome maker himself, the Rarity of this piece and the overall makeup. This one has almost twice the amount of gold than that one had, and the price of gold is almost 50% higher. The item “Will Denetdale Navajo solid 14k Turquoise Kachina bolo tie! 65 gr. SUPER RARE” is in sale since Thursday, November 12, 2020. This item is in the category “Jewelry & Watches\Ethnic, Regional & Tribal\Native American\Necklaces & Pendants”. This older piece is a large Olla style jar or Pot made by the outstanding artisan Joseph Latome of the San Felipe & Zuni Pueblos here in. These pieces by him are so scarce, much desired, highly collectible, and this one is just. There were not that many good San Felipe Potters around and the newer ones kinda had to figure it out on their own as not much documented pottery from there survived. This amazing piece stands 6.75″ tall and is approx 11.5″ across at the widest. It is in perfect condition with no chips cracks repairs or damage, with only a couple tiny spots of finish loss and showing barely any normal signs of wear or scratching due to its older age. May even be what the Estate owners paid for it. The estate sale people did put a piece of tape across the bottom with a price tag under it, and as you can see in the last photo, did bring a little finish off the bottom of the pot when removed, so it was re-attached. Thankfully its on the bottom. Its still an amazingly rare item, only 2 on line anywhere available including the high-end shops in Santa Fe. One larger piece at 3500.00, and the other, very similar, at 1600.00. Its a sweet piece and a great addition to any collection! Any questions PLEASE ask! Joseph Latoma is a young man who lives at San Felipe Pueblo. His dad is from Zuni Pueblothus the reason for his Zuni namebut his mom is Margaret Chavez of San Felipe Pueblothus his matriarchal link to San Felipe Pueblo. Because there is so little documented historic pottery from San Felipe, Latoma has had to create his designs from memories of the older generation of the pueblo. He is very interested in reintroducing traditional San Felipe pottery. The only older potter from there in the last 50 years was Candelaria Montana and she passed away about 20 years ago. This large olla was made in the traditional pueblo coil method and slipped with natural regional clay. The designs are a combination of geometric, avian, flora and celestial, all arranged in a most artistic and logical manner.
