Offered is a Santo Domingo graduated purple spiney oyster necklace with sterling silver cones and hook and eye clasp. The necklace is strung on waxed nylon and the smallest beads are 6mm graduated to the largest at 9.8mm. The necklace is 18 3/4 long and comes out of my collection from the 1980’s. It has a high polish and beautiful shades of purples and yellow/orange. Purple spiney oysters are the rarest of all the spondylus shells that are found. They are mostly orange or red and come mainly from Baja California. Thanks for your consideration!

Shell Heishi bead necklace by Santo Domingo artist Ken Aguilar. The remaining photos shows more specifically which necklace. This necklace shows but one monochrome color of bead of medium orange. This gorgeous necklace having 5 strands of Heishi beads of the medium color. Of the rare orange spiny oyster shell necklaces with one dark brown. Pen shell bead separating each medium orange spiny. By separating each bead with a substantially smaller. Pen shell bead this allows for the necklace’s movement to. Flow much nicer when worn. Each OSO Shell bead measures 1/8″H x 1/4″W. It is just that… Rare, and hard to. If you are looking for perfection in each bead then this necklace would not be “your thing”. Please see our other items if so. The shortest this necklace could be is 26 3/4. The longest this necklace could be is 29 1/2. An extender chain could be added making this 1″-4″ longer for an additional cost. This necklaces weighs 192.9 grams. This weight includes the extender chain and silver cones attached. This shell is found in the Baja of California. We have found Native American. Artists to be so very creative in their art, using a multitude of stones and often of a variety of color.
