Proudly presented today is this superb Hopi Kachina doll, depicting the seldom carved Turquoise Nose Plug Kachina. This Kachina, which is said to be derived from one of the Colorado River tribes, appears with the Lefthanded Kachinas also among the Western tribes, and they join forces to punish the clowns, during the Plaza Dances or Mixed Kachina dances. It is a very unusual Kachina, and seldom seen. This wonderful example, standing 15 and a half inches tall, is by the talented and respected Martin Dallas. Martin’s work is always strong and clean, very well-made and very traditional. This beautifully traditional doll will look great in your collection. Thanks for looking and Best Regards, Rich.

Exceptional and rare postmarked copy (July 1909) of this lovely W. Martin RPPC – his photo entitled “A Quiet Game”. A legacy card from this pioneer of RPPC and his Native American imagery. Note, importantly, that this card has the scarce “Oklahoma” Oklahoma postmark / cancel – used for Shawnee area. Mailed to Edna Stout in Norwood, Ohio. This card is held in various museum and archival collections. From a non-smoking, pet- and scent- free home.
