PROMINENT MESA ARIZONA ARTIST. 16′ wide x 20 tall. VERY GOOD OVERALL CONDITION. This piece is now priced below market value for similar Benesch paintings. This is a beautifully detailed and emotionally powerful painting. This piece is coming out of a friend’s private collection. Of an American Indian man by deceased Yuma Arizona artist, Louis Benesch. He was well known before his death in 2002 for his portraits of the. Native American Indians living in the Four Corners region of Arizona. This painting is sensitive to his subject who appears humble, wise, dignified and at peace. Lou, as he was known, was one of Mesa Arizona’s most prolific painters of Southwestern landscapes and culture. His art conveyed the love he had for the state of Arizona. His son donated some of his father’s collection to benefit the Yuma Regional Medical Center. The donated works are a significant part of the Center’s Art Heals Program. This listing is for one 1972 original oil painting by Louis Benesch. Please review the photographs carefully!
