This is an amazing piece. I wish this could talk and tell its story, it looks very, very old. It has a patina that can’t be faked. I’m guessing the red stripe that runs through the belt loop is the result of a red belt that was dyed red and the color has seeped into the sheath with the weather. This feels like it should be in a museum, someone thought enough of this to make a stand for it. Up for sale is a beautiful antique lithograph portrait depicting Jack-O-Pa – Zhaagobe, a Chippewa Chief published in 1843. This wonderful portrait is of superior quality showing tremendous detail published by Daniel Rice and James Clarks of Philadelphia. The lithograph measures 15.25 x 10.5 inches while its antique wood frame measures 23.5 x 17.5 inches making this work ready to be hung and enjoyed. The condition of this 1840’s lithograph shows discoloration, toning, waviness to sheet and damage to frame. The images provided accurately represent the quality, condition and aesthetic beauty of this lovely mid 19th century portrait of the notable early 19th century historical Chippewa chief but if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing! Up for your consideration is a Vtg Rare Chief Shatka Bear Step Thunderbird Native American Western Bolo Tie. Bolo slide measures 2 1/8 ” wide by 2 1/4″ tall. It is not marked but had been tested positive for Sterling. Please note bolo tips are not silver but are metal made. Cord shows great wear and needs to be replaced but it is original to this piece. Bolo slide has a beautiful patina. Total weight is 74 grams. Beautiful piece that would be a great gift or addition to any collection.
