Stunning Turquoise, Silver Belt Buckle Signed R Bahe Navajo Native American RARE
See the photos of this nice, all original and stunning belt buckle made by this famed Navajo artisan. I have owned this since the 1980s and have never before offered it for sale. It’s 2 3/8 x 3 inches and weighs 54 grams. It takes a belt that is 1 1/2 inches wide or less. Great hand chasing with a beautiful oval cabochon of turquoise with a great matrix in it. The metal work has to be seen to truly appreciate the expertise exhibited. Great, pleasing natural patina. Nice, clear signature on the reverse. I believe that Bahe made very few of these if he made any more at all. This may be a one of a kind. There are no errant “watery” marks on the stone as the photo makes it appear.
