EXTREMELY RARE ABSOLUTE PRISTINE! From my personal collection. Came directly off of the Zuni Indian reservation in New Mexico some years ago. TAMARA PINTO Zuni Native American BUTTERFLY squash blossom necklace and earrings set. Although this does not have the typical “squash blossoms” it is considered that style/type of necklace by some collectors of Native American Indian jewelry. Meticulously Handmade by Zuni Indian artist TAMARA PINTO. Please see photo for artist’s personal hallmark. Please note: The necklace LINKS are all HANDCRAFTED and hand soldered to form the necklace. This type of hand-craftsmanship is rarely seen. BEAUTIFUL, PAINSTAKINGLY ALL HANDMADE. Absolutely gorgeous in person. Please very carefully study all the inlay and hand-carving. Absolutely never worn, never used. From my PRIVATE collection. PLEASE NOTE: Sterling is slightly tarnishing from age. No damaged stones, no cracked stones, no missing stones. Some of the stones are HAND-ETCHED. MUCH, MUCH BETTER THAN PHOTOS. Please, please carefully study ALL of the photos to make sure this is acceptable to you. I have provided many photos to help with your decision. Necklace size: 22 1/2 around the neck circumference. 50 grams on my jeweler’s scale. This is a Zuni fetish carving made of ELK antler and turquoise stones. Rare hand carved twin corn maiden kachinas. This piece of Native American Southwestern art was hand made by Zuni artist Carl Etsate, a member of the world-famous family of carvers. Measures 5 inches tall Kachin and Corn maiden 3.5 inches tall X 4.5 inches base circumference. Zuni fetishes are small carvings made from primarily stone but also shell, fossils, and other materials by the Zuni people. Within the Zuni community, these carvings serve ceremonial purposes for their creators and depict animals and icons integral to their culture. Prior to the establishment of a non-Native market for fetishes, Hopi, Navajo, and other Pueblo peoples, especially at Kewa Pueblo also carved and used fetishes.

This is excellent quality and appears to be a older carving. Dimensions are in photos. Please see pictures as it best describes what you will be getting. Most of the Native American items I have listed came from a home that I seen that had them in a box (it was a garage sale). I reached out to the homeowner after bc that bothered me to see them in a box and I wanted them to have a good home. I googled her and offered to take them for a pretty penny. (Maybe the spirits guided me to do so, not to sound silly). Most of the dolls I have are from the mid 1900s to early 20th century and are excellent quality. Carinated Double Row Needlepoint Ring. Signed by silversmith REX. This gorgeous ring has 10 tiny cabochons of hand-cut natural turquoise, set with handmade. The ring is carinated and has 5 turquoise gems on each side. Because this ring is vintage and made with natural turquoise, the turquoise ranges. In color from green to blue. It is typical for natural turquoise to change color over time. “Greasy green” and it is quite desirable. I’m not sure whether to call the shape of the stones needlepoint or petit point because. Although they have points on either end (needlepoint hallmark), they are not straight. Like most needlepoint designs, rather they are slightly larger in the center. Front part of ring with stones measures 5/8″ wide and 1/4″ long. Band measures just under 1/4 wide all the way around. Weighs 4.05 grams. Hallmarked REX and tested as sterling silver.
