RARE Native American mixed stone Fetish and Coral bead necklace by Navajo artist Herbert Davis, with (11) hand carved animals with bundles, and Sterling Silver end caps and hook closure. The necklace is in good used condition: the Fetishes are not chipped or cracked, and the hook clasp works perfectly. The necklace is approximately 27 inches long from end to end, and total weight of the necklace is 95.2 grams. Please check the detailed description above for this items measurements & colors, I take my photos with a macro camera lens and it tends to make items look a little larger and lighting can distort actual colors. This unique pendant necklace is a rare find for any jewelry collector. The rectangular-shaped scrimshaw bone pendant features a hand carving of an adult feline and her pup. Both cats have inlaid eyes of green. The scrimshaw is about 2 3/4 by 1 1/2 inches and is bezel set. Additionally, there are six smaller blue turquoise stones, also bezel set, on a heavy silver backing with scrollwork, bead work and carved symbols. It is hanging from a handmade silver chain that goes over the head. It is permanently attached to the 3 3/4 X 2 3/4 inch pendant. The total length of the piece is 17.5 inches.. The vintage pendant appears to be signed by Wilbert Benally. Because it does not have a sterling mark on it, I cannot verify this. WB is engraved on the back, and there is also a very faint engraving of a bird. There is another engraving, also very faint, that could also be a bird. The piece is not silver stamped but it is evident that it is silver. Additionally, I have had it tested by my jeweler and it passed both an earth magnet and Thermo Scientific machine test. It weighs about 127 grams. It is a perfect gift for Mother’s Day, Christmas, birthday, or Valentine’s Day. The 17.5-inch necklace is customized and suits both men and women. The necklace is a great representation of Native American jewelry, and it was made in the United States.

It is a totem animal hand crafted in gemstones that is really quite remarkable. There is a striking contrast of blue turquoise along with sky blue opal then contrasted with blood red carnelian set-in jet-black onyx with a flower accent in some kind of shell or pearl. The setting is sterling silver 925 and has a nice weight (not hollow but old school very well made) 14.4 grams and approximately 12 carats of gemstones. It is so thoughtfully made that even the bail has gemstones covering all the way around to the back. Set in sterling silver 925 and in excellent condition with not cracks or flaws of any kind. Well-loved and well taken care of, the only real sign of its age is the patina on the silver that we could buff out if you want us to. We left the cool patina out of respect but that would be your choice to make. 2″ long by 1.3/4″ wide, this is a One-of-a-Kind piece that we know you’ll love. We’ll send it in a gift box along with care instructions for the gemstones.
