Exotic Wenge Premium Native American Flute TruStone-Blackheart Totem F# 24 7/8
Kodiak Flute: PREMIUM LINE: All exotic woods. (Wenge main body, South American Blackheart Totem) approximately 24 long with a 7/8 Bore in Key of F#. It features Black w/Gold Matrix Tru-Stone Inserts on Slow Air Chamber and Foot of flute. They are capped off on the end with Real Desert Ironwood. Deer Skin Lace is used to secure the totem. Premium Line features a Hand Rubbed 4 layer finish. Polymerized linseed oil and beeswax-is an excellent choice for Native American Flutes because it is safe, eco-friendly, and provides a natural, matte sheen that enhances the wood without clogging pores. Safety: It is completely food-safe and skin-safe, which is critical for an instrument that is played with the mouth. Wood Movement: As a penetrating oil, it allows the wood to breathe, which is essential for flutes made of Wenge or other woods that expand/contract with moisture (the “wetting out” process). Natural Feel: It does not create a plastic-like coating, keeping the wood feeling natural to the touch. The inside chambers are sealed with water based poly. Wenge is extremely hard wood and produces a bright tone. It is difficult to work with and many makers avoid it due to the complexities. NOTE: We have some clients request our logos and key engraved on the flute while others prefer it not be on the body. If you would like it branded we will do this for you at no extra charge, just send us a message to request. We don’t do the final coat of finish until we have received your preference so the branding is also properly protected. This flute has our logo and key engraved on will be engraved on the bottom of the flute under the Totem Strap. Take a look at images for the exact item you will receive.
