Vintage Fred Harvey Era by Indian Handcrafts shop! Navajo Coin Silver (90% purity) raised dome Bracelet! Highly detailed bracelet displays Navajo symbols and domes symbols. Bracelet measures 1 inch in width at widest point. It has an inside measurement of 5 1/2 inches plus a gap of 1 1/4 inch =6 3/4 inches interior measurement total wearable circumference. Great gift or addition to any jewelry collection. Fred Harvey era jewelry, one is generally speaking about this genre of lightweight and mass-produced jewelry that was made for sale to the Anglo tourist along the Santa Fe railroad lines, in hotels and retail shops run primarily by the Fred Harvey Company. The name, Fred Harvey, is a quite famous one in Southwestern history. However, as traders quickly realized, the Anglo taste in jewelry differed greatly from that of the Native Americans, such as the Navajo Indians. Whereas the Navajo would appreciate heavier, “bulkier” pieces (for example, thicker, larger Sterling Silver bracelets, rings, and necklaces with large turquoise stone settings), the Anglo tourist (and Anglo women in particular) would prefer lightweight examples with smaller elements of ornamentation and stones. Please send the item back to us with tracking.

I’ve always been fascinated by arrowheads, coins, currency, militaria, art, and just about anything with history behind it. Every piece has a story. And I enjoy finding collectors for the ones that catch my eye. I’m always open to fair deals and good conversations. Daniel’s Relic Colosseum is proudly veteran-owned. Is a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) included? If a COA is included, you’ll see it photographed in the listing. It’s important for collectors especially novice collectors to know that a COA is an opinion from an individual and not a guarantee. If there’s no COA, the item is considered uncertified, and it’s up to you as the collector to decide if it belongs in your collection and if your willing to take the chance on the piece. I’m always happy to help fellow collectors find the right piece for their collection. Very well-made corner notch point reported to come from Arkansas. Sourced from a long-term private estate collection in Ohio.

The feather is a symbol of strength, power, freedom, wisdom and spirituality in Native American culture. Alvin chose from an unusually lovely muted color palette of assorted semiprecious stones (several varieties of turquoise, onyx, lapis lazuli and mother of pearl amongst others), in order to construct this stunning piece. Each’cobblestone’ needed to be individually cut and polished prior to setting, an arduous task greatly more time consuming than if he was making a flat inlay.. The pendant measures 5 1/4″ long from the top of the 1/2″ bale to the bottom of the dangling feather. At its widest the pendant measures 2 across. Its weight is a substantial 68g. It is in excellent shape. The semi precious stones used here are gorgeous and totally free of cracks and scratches. I have made no attempt to clean the pendant’s silver setting! It shows a slight patchy tarnish which to my mind serves only to add to its allure. I’ve taken lots of photos of the pendant and the colors are true to the piece. Please check out the photo gallery if interested and feel free to contact me if you have any questions! Thank you so very much for looking! Alvin Yellowhorse is a Navajo jeweler born in 1968. He learned the trade from his father, Frank Yellowhorse. He began creating his distinct modern inlaid jewelry style since 1995. He has won numerous awards for his work, including features in Smithsonian Magazine in 1999.
