HUGE Vintage Navajo Sterling Silver Turquoise Necklace RARE! VERY NICE


























This listing features a later-mid century Navajo crafted necklace, made from Sterling Silver and Turquoise. NOTE: Please view all 24 photos. Last 4 photos show necklace on a 5’8 tall model. I’m super excited to offer up this rare Navajo design to all the collectors out there. This vintage necklace is in beautiful condition and features large Turquoise beads along with sterling silver beads placed throughout. The stones were hand cut into squares with soft rounded edges before being polished to a high shine. They portray gorgeous shades of greenish blue with subtle orangish matrix swirls and natural inclusions throughout.. They’re absolutely stunning, all 42 of them in near perfect condition! At the center of the necklace and halfway up on each side are a series of 3 sterling beads, a large stamped square bead followed by large pearls on each side. The necklace is strung on a thicker than average wire and finished with a classic bench bead/cone combo with a hook and eye clasp. There is no sterling stamp which is common for vintage Navajo jewelry however, all three of the square silver beads have the same stamped initials of JB. The silver was tested and we guarantee its purity of. This hand crafted necklace will be a great addition to any collection of Navajo jewelry. The craftsmanship is of higher quality and the square stones are so beautiful and unique. I promise this piece will not last long and we won’t find another one like it for a long time! Stone Measurements – The Turquoise beads range from 10.5 millimeters to 15.5 millimeters. Pearl/Bead Measurements – The 3 large square beads measure 17 millimeters long by 13 millimeters wide. The large pearls following after each square bead measure 13 millimeters wide at the seam. The smaller pearls at each end are the standard 8 millimeters wide. Stamped Sterling – NO, tested and verified. 925 sterling silver guaranteed. Signed by Artist – YES, stamped with initials JB for a Navajo Artist. There are several Artists with this mark so I can’t say for sure which one but, more the likely, this piece was crafted by one of the following. John Burnsides, Jimmie Begay, Jerry Begay, John G. Begay, Josephine Benally, Jimmy Bob, or Julius Burbank. ALL have the same mark! – Later-Mid Century, 1960’s+. Condition – Preowned, in excellent vintage condition with all of its original parts and pieces with a naturally aged patina on silver, ready to wear or display.
