Old Pawn Zuni Sterling Silver and Turquoise Hair Pin. 4 1/4″ Long – 7/8″ Wide. One side has some dents. Most of these pawn shops and trading posts are now closed. The Native American would pawn his jewelry for immediate cash. The shop would hold it and charge interest until he could reclaim it. Dead pawn are the pieces that were never retrieved. Old Pawn Jewelry typically dates from the early 1900s to the 1970s. Most of the early pieces are not signed because it wasn’t the Native American tradition to sign the pieces they crafted. Also, the turquoise in old pawn is turquoise that you can’t get anymore because many of the mines have closed. Phenomenal Vintage “Navajo Pearls” Graduated Necklace, Sterling Silver, wonderful length and weight, lays beautifully against your décolleté or as a lovely compliment over your favorite top! Stunning hand soldered style, the detail in each beaded “pearl” is absolutely breathtaking, strung on a Sterling Silver chain. This specific piece was FEATURED in a fantastic magazine called, Cowboys & Indians (Nov/Dec Issue, 2021). Vintage 1960’s – 1970’s, grab this truly unique Native American artwork, now, these are hard to find and you will love wearing it! All Measurements and Weights are Approximate. Length While Latched: 12″ and Approximately 24″ while laid flat. Again, these are vintage, antique, highly collectible, highly valuable, some one of a kind, absolutely authentic pieces from one estate, one owner, and because they are all of the things aforementioned.
