It features a 3-D Flying Bird Center and 4 Silver birds (2 on each side) and has a barrel clasp and measures approx. Very nice vintage necklace! Pendant measures 1 3/8″ wide x 5.8″ Long and weighs 7 grams. Necklace could use a little polishing to make the silver look new and shiny again. But I do not polish or clean items due to patina, some like it and some do not…. ALL ITEMS ARE AS IS, AND I TRY AND MAKE AN EFFORT TO NOTICE ANY AND ALL DEFECTS IF POSSIBLE. A published, documented carved shell artifact, showing a stylized human face. The piece demonstrates culturally known design values including eye and mouth surrounds, defined brow ridges and the general shape of the face. Known as a guaiza, these pieces were given by local chiefs to other chiefs.
