RARE GIBSON NEZ NAVAJO STERLING SILVER TURQUOISE CORAL CUFF BRACELET. Being offered this evening is a very special piece of Native American jewelry created by the late Navajo master silversmith Gibson Nez believed to date to the late 1960’s. One often sees Nez pieces described as “museum quality” and this cuff bracelet certainly fits that description. It is a beautiful, large, heavy piece weighing 184 grams (6.5 ounces) and is covered with inlayed thick slices of turquoise and red coral beads. The piece measures 2 inches wide with an inside diameter of 2.625 inches and an opening of 1.375 inches (7 inch interior circumference). It is nicely marked on the back with a strong Gibson Nez mark. The bracelet is in wonderful overall condition with no damage and only the lightest scratches from polishing and wear. It is a beauty. Item described as accurately as possible.
