RARE Vintage Navajo KEWA Sterling Silver Kingman Turquoise Cluster Belt Buckle
This listing is for a rare mid-century Navajo belt buckle made by David Garcia. It is made of sterling silver, Kingman Turquoise, and a center inlay portion using Mother of Pearl and Mediterranean Coral. This handcrafted buckle is bursting with color and depth. A beautiful array of 10 natural Kingman stones circle around the outer edge. They are set in tall handmade bezels that pop off the top of the dark oxidized buckle. Each stone has just the right amount of matrixes to match up perfectly with its neighboring stone. They have strong vivid shades of blue and green along with heavy black and tan matrixes. Large silver droplets rest between each stone running along the outer edge. The center of the buckle features a tall raised bezel filled with a gorgeous slab of white mother of pearl. The bezel which holds the oval slab is in great condition being completely hand forged. At the center of the mother of pearl is a highly detailed inlaid cardinal using Mediterranean coral and onyx. This is truly stunning inlay work by Garcia. This design is rather common for other types of jewelry pieces, like cuff bracelets and pendants, however it is very rare to find this design featured on a belt buckle….. Its a very unique find and a must have for the avid collector of fine Native American jewelry. The swivel belt keeper and hook located on the back is completely handcrafted and in MINT condition. A rectangular plate is also placed on the back with the Artists name. A fantastic find for both men and women. Will make an excellent addition to any existing Native American jewelry collection or could be the perfect piece to start one. The size is perfect… Not too big or gaudy, yet not so small it wont be seen. This piece is one to cherish and enjoy for now…… And hand down to loved ones in the future. Weight – 56 Grams.
