Circa 1930’s to 1940’s. Howard Leekela created these rings and was a skillful top notch silversmith. Howard Leekela was born on July 1, 1915 and died on November 15, 1987 at the age of 72. Howard last resided in Zuni, McKinley County, New Mexico. In the book “Indian Silver” by Margery Bedinger, Howard was mentioned as a proficient stone-cutter of three dimensional forms.
