VTG RARE 10-Strand Native American Necklace KINGMAN Turquoise Sterling Old Pawn
EXTRA LONG AND AN IMPRESSIVE 10 STRANDS! Length from first strand is about 36 inches total. Length from tenth strand is about 46 inches total. This is a pre-owned, vintage item. RARE , IMPRESSIVE, AND UNIQUE FEATURES. MOST RARE is the length! Necklace is extra long at about 36-46 inches. Most old pawn/vintage necklaces are short and often require extenders. MOST IMPRESSIVE is the mix of highly desired turquoise types including Kingman (AZ, deeper blue w/darker matrix), Morenci (AZ, deep blue w/brownish matrix), and Sleeping Beauty (AZ, light blue with minimal/absent matrix). MOST UNIQUE are the stones! Some of the stones have an infrequent and naturally occurring metallic matrix with perfectly round silver bubbles formed on surface of the stone. The silver is either zinc, pyrite, or silver. Some examples of these bubble formations are circled red in the pictures. There are plenty of magnified closeups to confidently showcase the quality and authenticity! Also circled are other details to indicate genuine turquoise like drill holes exposing a truly blue stone all the way through, matrix details, etc. Makes a wonderful and rare addition for the serious turquoise/Native jewellery collector! Necklace is strung on sinew. PLEASE NOTE the heishi may appear haphazard in the close up pictures but please KEEP IN MIND, theyre pictured at 5x magnification. Also, theres a bit of crowding under the squash blossoms but its likely intentional/expected because of the number of strands. It certainly doesnt distract from the beauty of the necklace. Sterling silver bench beads and squash blossoms are handmade. Blossoms have a traditional hand stamped design.
