HUGE RARE Vintage Navajo Native American Sterling Silver Turquoise Belt Buckle
This listing features a gorgeous belt buckle made by Navajo Artist, Nelson Lee. It was made with solid sterling silver, Turquoise, and Mother of Pearl. This expertly handcrafted buckle is a stunning piece of work. A beautiful array of large turquoise stones sit flush, between silver channels, over a smooth oval buckle made of solid sterling silver. They have beautiful shades of blue green along with light and tan matrixes running throughout. Round inlays of mother of pearl rest on each side of the face with their classic iridescent sheen and look as if being overlapped by the turquoise. The Artist didnt leave 1 square centimeter of this buckle untouched by his talent….. Truly a stunning piece of work by Nelson Lee. The swivel belt keeper and hook located on the back is in mint condition. The swivel pins holding the belt keeper are actually made with silver and not brass…. Typically pieces of this nature have brass pins, but not this one!! The Artists signature is also deeply stamped in the center. A fantastic find and a must have for the avid collector of fine Native American jewelry. Will make an excellent addition to any existing collection or could be the perfect piece to start one. At just over 4 wide, the size is perfect… Not too large and gaudy, but big enough to make a statement and be seen.
