This listing is for a vintage handcrafted Navajo cuff bracelet made of sterling silver and natural inlaid gem stones including ;turquoise, mother-of-pearl, gold-lip MOP, mediterranean coral, blue lapis, cowrie shell, and nephrite jade. NOTE – Before reading the description, I want to point out that this cuff is made for a smaller wrist. If you have a wrist that is larger than 6-1/2 this piece will not fit you…. The inner circumference is 5-1/2 with an additional 1 for the opening/gap…… Now on to the good stuff! This is an incredibly beautiful piece of vintage Navajo jewelry!! Natural gem stones are set in a raised cobblestone fashion over the face of this thick and solid silver cuff. Each stone inlay is in excellent condition with no cracks or inclusions. The color that jumps off this piece is incredible with bold contrasting hues truly making it standout from others. The bracelet has a unique shape with each end being rounded and flared out slightly larger than the front and the sides of the cuff curving inward creating a wave effect… Not only is this piece beautifully designed but, its very comfortable on the wrist as well. The face is split into two major sections with one half consisting of turquoise and the other with white mother-of-pearl. The stones are precisely shaped and placed on the cuff too follow the same wave pattern. The MOP side is accompanied by several other tightly bunched inlays, closer to each end of the cuff, while the turquoise side is all turquoise. This is a thick and heavy piece at 84 grams. The silver used to create this piece is solid, therefore there is absolutely NO give to the gap opening. Please measure your wrist and check the measurements below before purchasing. This listing features a rare handcrafted Navajo ring made of sterling silver and turquoise. Expertly handcrafted by an unknown Navajo Artist during the later-mid century, this ring is sure to be a most treasured piece for any collection of fine Native American jewelry. It is in excellent vintage condition with its original stone and naturally aged patina. The ring face features a stunning water web turquoise stone set in a raised scalloped bezel. It rests securely in its bezel with a smooth polished satin finish. The scalloped bezel is a rare sight to see and even more so with the hand stampings that accompany each one as it surrounds the stone. Classic twisted rope surrounds the stone and bezel, with each side of the band having additional ropes added before tapering down to the bottom center. This is a well constructed piece and in perfect round shape. It has a very thick and solid feel to it. The scalloped bezel and water web turquoise truly set this ring apart from others. Will make a fantastic addition to any collection of fine Native American jewelry. Cherish and enjoy this gorgeous ring today and tomorrow….. Band measures – 3/16 at bottom center and gradually widens too 1/2 at first twisted rope on each side. Signed by Artist – Possibly, but I cant make the mark out due to it being so small…. A small marking resides on the inner shank just before the sterling stamp. It could be nothing but I believe it may be an initial of the Artist. Stamped Sterling – YES, tested and verified.
