This listing is for a gorgeous handcrafted Navajo cuff bracelet made of Sterling Silver, Turquoise, and an 1896 Morgan Silver Dollar. This vintage Navajo bracelet features a beautiful 1896 Silver Morgan Dollar resting at the center. The face of the coin is in excellent shape while being held with two flaps of silver on each side. The flaps carry hand stampings of leaves and are shaped like leaves as well. It is hard to see but the Artist took the extra time to add silver tubes below each flap to help support them as well as secure the coin. Arguably the most coveted and collected vintage U. Silver coin of all time, Morgan Silver Dollars are always in demand. And no wonder: this is a coin steeped in American history, minted from the era of the Wild West to the first shout of the Roaring Twenties. Named for their designer, the U. Mint’s seventh Chief Engraver George T. Morgan, each hefty “Silver Cartwheel” was struck in more than three quarters of an ounce of 90% pure “American” silver, mined from Nevada’s legendary Comstock Lode. Please note : The coin is not soldered to the top of the cuff, therefore it could be removed and replaced with a stone or another coin. Also, know that the coin is very secure with the flaps holding it in place. The coin has no movement and the silver holding it in place is very sturdy and solid. The sides of the cuff feature raised silver beds with highly polished natural inlays. The stone inlays are set in a flush fish scale design within the raised beds. Each stone is separated with a silver channel creating this very popular Navajo design. Each stone inlay is in excellent condition with no cracks or inclusions and the color that jumps off is absolutely incredible being a bright shade of Caribbean blue and green. Deep hand stampings are embedded within the edges of the cuff with each end having a slightly rounded edge. Stampings of leaves are pressed into each end matching the leaves on the flaps holding the coin. The rounded ends have been smoothed for easy and effortless application to the wrist. Its a heavier gauge silver and is very solid, therefore there is absolutely NO give to the gap opening. Please measure your wrist and check the measurements below before purchasing. This highly sought after Navajo design will make a great addition to your existing collection of fine Native American jewelry or it could be the perfect piece to start one. Cherish and enjoy this cuff for now…. And hand it down to a loved one in the future. Weight – 95 Grams. Inner Circumference End to End – 5-7/8. Gap – 15/16 (NOT ADJUSTABLE).
