Derrick Cadman is a 3rd generation Navajo artist, his dad is Andy Cadman. With his dad and uncles Derrick has been surrounded by Navajo jewelers his entire life. He began creating his own unique style 3 years ago, his jewelry exhibits beautiful old style techniques with an amazing contemporary flare. Handmade by Navajo artist Derrick Cadman. This is a sterling silver handmade Navajo eagle cuff bracelet with a natural, rare gem grade Egyptian Turquoise stone. The stone is an electric blue with a red web matrix. The stone sits in a hand cut stamped bezel with a rope of silver at the base. The silver work for this piece is amazing. Derrick cut and hand stamped the entire bracelet with feathers and repousse bump outs, he gave this bracelet further depth by adding hand stamped feather shapes to the wings. The full inner circumference of this bracelet including the 1-3/8 inch wrist opening is 6-3/4 inch. The face of this cuff measures 2 inch, and tapers down to 1 inch. The stone measures 5/8 inch by 3/4 inch. Weighs 66.4 grams. Stamped Sterling and DC, Derrick also engraved his signature and’20. Antique Vtg Navajo Mercury Dime Eagle Quarter Dollar Squash Blossom Necklace RARE. Given to me by my neighbor 35 years ago and it was very old then. A fabulous Antique Vintage Navajo SQUASH BLOSSOM Necklace with a sterling silver naja with an old green turquoise stone. Her grandparents owned a trading post somewhere in the Four Corners area, and this was given to her as a young teen. I believe it to date to the early 1940s. It is in excellent condition, restrung when she gave it me and worn on a handful of occasions. The coins range from 1923, 1936, and early 1940s. Pre and post WWII. It weighs approximately 10 ounces or 300 grams. The length is a fabulously wearable! Unlike most squashes, which sit in the awkward middle of ones chest, this could be almost an everyday piece. This sculpture is in perfect condition. Bronze Dimensions with Marble Base:Height 14 1/2″ x Width 7″ Marble Dimensions: 7″ X 7″. Height without base: 13 1/2 Weight : 10 LBS Inventory : 54-580116645. This is an exquisite bronze bust of a Native American warrior chief. He stares at the beholder, wild and bold, with an air of spiritual resilience. His hair is adorned with braids that are wrapped with strips of deer hide coated with a turquoise patina. A long feather lost in the back of his hair stretches towards gravity also finished in a turquoise patina. He wears a bone breastplate which was a popular chest ornament or armor. Since the hair-pipe bones were difficult and expensive to obtain, the number of bones in the plate often indicated the wealth of a warrior. Such breastplates were worn on occasion in battle, but could be penetrated easily by an arrow or a bullet, so they were mainly a decorative or medicine item. The sculpture was molded using the archaic method of lost-wax casting with skin tones finished in a brown patina stain for perpetuation. The chief is mounted upon a black marble and is signed C. This piece is in amazing condition for it’s age. There are no cracks in the stones and there is only one tiny stone missing from the main eagles eye. Approximately 2″ X 1 3/4″. It is designed by Michael Hoban for his WHEREAMI line. This is one of his Native American designs. This stiff black leather biker style jacket has ivory, turquoise, and red accents. The tribal style design on arms and eagle on the back are amazing!! This is a rare piece! It is in good pre-owned condition, but could use a cleaning and condition coming out of storage. Armpits are vented, waist has adjustable straps, and has zippered pockets and wrists. Please see all photos!
