Fabulous RARE Vintage/Antique Tall Native American Indian Enameled & Rhinestone Fur Clip. “Yankee Doodlers Indian” Designed by Lester Gaba and produced by Albert Manufacturing. Design patent #108910 dated 1938. Featured in “Brunialti’s American Costume Jewelry-Art & Industry” 2008 Volume 1 -page 37. Won’t see this again for a long time. Gold washed pot metal in the form of standing Native American Indian with brown enamel and clear rhinestone feather head dress. Black enamel accents and green rhinestones in boots. It looks like the feather “skirt” has lost most of its gold wash but all enamel is completely intact. Some dark clear rhinestones. Fur clip mechanism tight and secure. This beauty measures 2 7/8 inches tall by 3/4 inch wide.
The superb stone is characteristic of material from the LANDER mine in Nevada (or possibly the Lone Mountain mine). 1 1/8″ long x 7/8″ wide; the six (6) band shank is approx. 3/4″ tapering to 3/16″ wide.
