RARE? Native American Navajo Butterfly Turquoise Coral STERLING SILVER Bracelet

This is an exquisite vintage Navajo inlaid sterling silver bracelet. This outstanding piece contains a beautiful inlaid butterfly that measures around 1-1/2″ X 1-7/8″. The inlay consists of turquoise and coral with surrounding silver stampings. This bracelet contains a double silver shank cuff. The height at the center of the bracelet measures around 1-1/2″ while the center of the cuff measures around 1″. The old natural patina is absolutely phenomenal. The inside end to end measures around 5-1/4″ with an additional 1″ gap.

SNOWFLAKE FLOWER (STEPHANIE RHOADES) is a well known traditional potter and storyteller maker from Cociti Pueblo, New Mexico. Snowflake Flower has been making storytellers and traditional pottery since 1977. She often puts Prayer Feathers on her storytellers in honor of her daughter who had been in a coma for 16 years until December 1999. Snowflake Flower has won awards at Santa Fe Indian Market and the New Mexico State Fair. Her sister is noted storyteller potter, Ada Suina. Offering from my private collection recovered on my property in Antrim county Michigan. I have been a part time archaeologist for over 50 years. Authentic uni-faced single barbed war club made of fossilized conglomerate RARE!! This head is hafted in center and unifaced double pointed very old type. Recovered camp site # 3. Head size : 8 1/2” x 5 1/4′. Head weight : 4 lb 10 oz. Counter balance weight : 2 lb 4oz. Material : brown fossilized with dark brown inclusions medium to high polish from use. Artifacts may have mineral staining or deposits from ground exposure on them. See photos attached, any question please message me. Artifacts are from a very primitive culture of people call Assugun tribe. In the Algonquin language means Bone people.

This museum-quality gorget is a fine-grained sandstone breastplate symbolizing rank or authority and worn at the breast by suspension from the neck; it is usually rectangular or ovoid, flat and two-holed so that it will hang horizontally. The artisan who carved this large and extremely rare quadrilateral, five-hole gorget evidently intended to create a truly unique symbol; there are four evenly-spaced drilled perforations of equal size, a fifth, much larger medial perforation and all edges have been rounded. 5″ x 3.25″ x. 5 and in excellent condition. Recovered from Waterloo County in eastern Canada, near Niagara Falls, and previously number “56” in the Bates Collection, painted in red on one edge. Is attributed to the Eastern Woodlands culture.
