Old Pawn Bisbee squash blossom necklace with 18 rare smokey cabs. Final Reduction
Old Pawn Bisbee squash blossom with 18 rare smokey cabs. This is an incredibly hard to find example of Smokey Bisbee cabs mounted in a traditional style squash blossom. This piece would have been made during the Indian jewelry revival of the 60-70 period when shops in Gallup and Scottsdale were trying to keep up with the demand. It is not signed by any artist or shop, but there is no doubt that the cabs are smokey Bisbee. The pawn shop tag indicates 1960 but the other info is blanked out. Originaly from a closed shop in Clovis NM. I bought this a few years ago from Joe Tanner. The stones are a beautiful swirl of grey/black/lavender and range in size from approx. 10 x 12 to 25 x 12 mm. The necklace is 26 long which does. Include the Naja which is approx. 3 1/4″ long x 3″ wide. Weight is over 7.47 oz. Or 211.9 g. The necklace is comprised of 8 mm. From scrap, beads strung on fox tail chain with a hook and eye clasp. See my other listings. For more great items! Old Pawn Bisbee Squash Blossom necklace. Five blossoms per side.
