RARE Early Owl Sun-Face Stamp Kachina Hopi Route 66 Native American Wood Carve
C e l es ti a l N o n e s u ch. A lovely rare, quite large, early wooden carved Native American Owl Kachina. Stamped on the base with the Sun Face mark, and the Katsina’s name “Owl”. Presumably Native American Hopi, dating to the 1940’s through 1950’s. A great object for study or display, this will make a nice addition to any student or appreciators collection of Native American art and artifacts. Good condition, missing right ear. Minor chip on right foot and tip of beak. Minor loss of color. Appears left horn and ear have been reattached Exhibits signs of age such as surface wear and weathering.
