Vintage & Rare 1950s MARWAL Native Afro African Woman 12
This is a vintage and rare late 19th/early 20th Centuries sculpture of a gorgeous Native Afro African American woman, manufactured in the New York, United States during the 1950s by MARWAL. The sculpture represents African culture and is 12 inches tall. A must have rare piece! History of Artist: Marwal Ind Inc was founded in Brooklyn, NY, around the mid-1960s, by Romanian immigrant Marcel Walters. Walters used the first syllables of his first and last names, to name his company. Marwal produced chalkware figurines and statues that were made with Hydrastone, which was a mixture of plaster of Paris and gypsum.
