This is a RARE! Cumberland Point, found in Baxter, Tennessee. It dates between 9250 BC – 8000 BC, the early to late Paleo period. It measures 3″ long x 15/16″ wide & is made of grey flint. Graded as a G-9, with minor dings and chips done during ancient re-sharpening. The base is ground. It comes with a Dwain Rogers and a Caddo Trading Co. Ex: Bob Overstreet Collections. Picked up this killer Cumberland in August of 2022 in Missouri. A hard to come by 4½ Cumberland spearhead, fluted half way up on one side, fluted to the tip on other. Side grinding up to half on both sides, not too heavily ground. Found in the Strodes Creek of Mason County, Kentucky near Maysville, Kentucky 1977. Afew different angles to share. Point shows collateral and pressure flaking techniques. Pics don’t do justice, feel free to ask for more detailed images. Late Clovis Culture in age 11,000-9,000BC.
