AUTHENTIC Zuni Native American Indian ROSE CALAVAZA Flowers Necklace. Hallmarked by artist: R CALAVAZA, ZUNI NM = Rose Calavaza Zuni Indian in New Mexico. Please see photos for hallmark. Must see in person to appreciate all the painstaking handwork. Circa: Unknown but fortunately still in great condition. This is a vintage pre-owned item so the sterling silver is tarnishing. These “opals” sparkle and glisten and are quite beautiful in person. My camera could not show you the “sparkling opals” very well. The color of the flowers is a pale “soft” glistening bluish color and they look JUST LIKE GENUINE OPALS. Also features: genuine natural RED CORAL (centers of flowers). The flowers “sit” on genuine natural creamy white mother-of-pearl seashells. There are also “greenish” color seashells for the leaves and flower stems I believe to be abalone seashell. Size: 22 1/2 in length (around the neck). The lower pendant is 2 1/2 (including the silver dangles). Please study all the photos. I was absolutely thrilled when I found this very rare and beautiful Native American Indian treasure and I know you will love it too. I will pack it EXTREMELY CAREFUL to avoid damage. You will love this charming fella!!! MB – in the bolo box.
EXTREMELY RARE ABSOLUTE PRISTINE set! As of MARCH 2, 2024 – I could not locate another one of these Edward A. It is my understanding that, sadly, Edward died from the COVID INFLUENZA in 2021. This SET still has it’s original earrings from Edward and tragically he will NOT be making anymore. ZUNI Native American Indian HORSE Squash Blossom Necklace and earrings set. Although this does not have the typical “squash blossoms” it is considered that style/type of necklace by some collectors. Meticulously Handmade by Zuni Indian artist EDWARD A LEEKITY (deceased: 2021) please see photos for artist’s personal hallmark E. 94 (this is believed to be crafted in 1994 since Edward generally hallmarked his pieces with the year he created them). BEAUTIFUL, PAINSTAKINGLY ALL HANDMADE. Absolutely gorgeous in person. Please very carefully study all the inlay and hand-carving. Absolutely never worn, never used. It has been kept in a vault in a plastic bag from a private high-end Native American Indian artifacts collection for years. There is some tarnish to the sterling silver which is to be expected from oxidation thru the years. Note: there is some tarnish from oxidation thru the years. Genuine NATURAL turquoise stones, creamy white mother-of-pearl seashell stones, black onyx, what appears to be leopard skin jasper (for the “pinto” horses) and abalone seashell stones. Beautiful Zuni sterling silver snake eye turquoise necklace is GREAT condition!!! I can’t find another one of these anywhere!! It is about 14 and has a hook clasp. The stones are sawtooth bezel set and I think the sawtooth setting really makes stones pop!! I saw two sterling marks on the back by the clasp otherwise no other marks that I know of. Truly in amazing condition so don’t miss out!
