A rare glimpse into the world of the assimilation period of the Native American tribes during the later part of the 19th Century. You can clearly see that at least eleven members of this brass and percussion band are young Native Americans. A truly fantastic and detailed photograph by J. Cody in Genoa, Nebraska. CONDITION: Please view my detailed photo for the actual condition of the image and as part of my description. The mount and photographer’s information are in insanely beautiful condition. The backside has no photographer’s mark. There is some slight surface wear on the print consistent with age, but overall, a great document of this time period in American history. A truly historical American image for your collection of 19th Century photography.
