RARE ARMOR BRONZE COMPANY END OF THE TRAIL NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN TABLE LAMP CIRCA 1915. Measures approximately 12 high to top of socket and 15 ¼ high to top of light bulb. Measures approximately 6 ½ wide by 3 ¾ deep. Original felt on the underside along with the orignal Armor Bronze label. The label is signed The S. The back side of the base is marked with a C or an O inside a shield. The front of the base is marked with what appears to be a T presumably for Tarrant. But it is possibly only a dent – see photo number 10. The only exceptions are that the harp for the shade is missing (see last photo) and the post for the lamp is slight bent (but should be an easy fix). From the late 1890s, Armor Bronze was known as National Metalizing Company, NYC. The company adopted the name Armor Bronze as their trade name, and remained in NYC until the mid 1930s. In 1934, they moved to Taunton, MA, and in 1946, changed their name to Armor Bronze & Silver Company. By 1950, they had phased out all. The item “RARE ARMOR BRONZE COMPANY END OF THE TRAIL NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN LAMP C 1915″ is in sale since Wednesday, May 13, 2015. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Lamps, Lighting\Lamps”. The seller is “davidgrant777″ and is located in Portland, Oregon. This item can be shipped worldwide.
Bookends, Extremely Rare: Armor Bronze Native American Indian Chief, Polychrome. We have here a MASSIVE pair of Bronze Clad Bookends that are VERY SPECIAL! 1925, were made by the popular bronze, silver and metal company, Armor Bronze of New York, in the 1920s. We know these bookends are made prior to 1929 as Armor Bronze discontinued business in their New York facility in 1929. What makes these Bookends so special is that they are extremely rare. This means that these bookends, at the time of publishing, had only been seen ONCE by the authors, EVER! I admit these are my most special and precious set of Bookends. I’ve decided to pass these on to another avid collector to enjoy in their own home collection. Armor Bronze often chose well-known works of art and famous sculptures as material for their bookends. This pair is artist- signed and is the work of famous French born sculptor, Jules Andre Meliodon, b. See photo #6 for his signature, it is present on both pieces. They still have the Original felt cover on the bottom and both still have the original Armor Bronze Factory sticker/label photo #5. These are polychrome, meaning of many colors. Some of the color has faded due to age, more so on one than the other. However, there is still plenty of vibrant beautiful blue and red with the gold and bronze color shining through. There is very slight damage to the nose on one piece as seen in photo #9. They have been on display, rarely moved, only for light dusting, in my clean, smoke free, pet free home. These are extremely heavy and massive in size. Standing at 8 inches tall, 7 1/2 inches wide and with a depth of 3 1/2 inches, they are sure to become a conversation piece in your home! Please note that none of the books in the photos are for sale and are used only for display purposes. Thank you for looking… Are you going to be the third owner of these special High End Collectable Bookends? Please see my other listings for more beautiful items!
