Turquoise is one of the oldest protection amulets, and was also known as a symbol of wealth in many ancient cultures. Turquoise is perhaps the oldest stone in man’s history, the talisman of kings, shamans, and warriors. It is a stone of protection, strong and opaque, yet soothing to the touch, healing to the eye, as if carved from an azure heaven and slipped to earth. Its unique shade of blue, often blue-green, lends it name, Turquoise, to all things of this tranquil hue. The delicate veining or mottled webbing in cream or brown is inherent to the stone and serves to enhance its character. For thousands of years, Turquoise has spanned all cultures, prized as a symbol of wisdom, nobility and the power of immortality. Among the Ancient Egyptians, Persians and Chinese, Aztecs and Incas of South America, and Native North Americans, Turquoise was sacred in its adornment and for power, luck, and protection. For nearly a thousand years, Native Americans have mined and fashioned Turquoise, using it to guard their burial sites. Their gems have been found from Argentina to New Mexico. Indian priests wore it in ceremonies when calling upon the great spirit of the sky. Many honored Turquoise as the universal stone, believing their minds would become one with the universe when wearing it. Because of its ability to change colors, it was used in prophesy or divining. To the prehistoric Indian, Turquoise, worn on the body or used in ceremonies always signified the god of the sky alive in the earth. This advertisement, for technical reasons, states that some “copies” of this jewel are available. Indeed, being created COMPLETELY BY HAND, it is a UNIQUE and EXCLUSIVE specimen of which there can never be another IDENTICAL. Being an artisan product, Amira di Transilvania, WITHOUT additional costs, can create similar jewels PERSONALIZING THEM according to the needs, the desires and the tastes of the individual customer. He Owl Jewel is a unique and original necklace of ethnic-tribal style created and painted by hand by Amira Munteanu Bergmann. The meaning of nocturnal birds in the legends and traditions of the native Americans, in particular the Comanches tribe. A leader of which was the Old Owl. The central body of the jewelry is composed of the face of an owl with a long black beak, large hazel-colored eyes embellished with torquoise top, gem and feather. On the underside of the small sculpture are attached a series of ropes and strips of leather decorated with beads of different shapes and colors that recall the fringes of the typical natives dresses. The upper part of the jewel is formed by a series of elements of various shapes, colors and materials ending with a rope to be tied with a knot behind the neck. Being an artisanal product, if, on the one hand, its components do not have a regular shape and may present imperfections, on the other hand there can never be a jewel identical to this. The owl in Native American cultures had mostly positive values: it was a symbol of wisdom and cunning that could confer clairvoyance. The lunar month between November 21 and December 21. Was dedicated to the owl and, among the various tribes was widespread legend. About when it tried to become the King of birds. The other birds wanted him as a King because of its wisdom. The only one to disagree was the crow who claimed that it would have been better a clever leader. To convince them, it told a story: to overcome its inability to fish, an old heron resorted to a cunning expedient. It explained to the fish that the humans were going to drain the lake and only if they jumped into its mouth they would be saved. The fish followed the advice and the heron ate them. A crab, understanding the deception, asked the heron to spare it and choked it saving the remaining fish. At the end of the story, the birds agreed with the crow. But the owl repeated its candidacy as a sage. Then the raven told a second story in which a sage abandoned to brigands the kid that had been given to him only because he had been able to tell the thugs that he had been deceived and they had given him an ugly and dirty animal. The owl, when it heard this, was offended and flew away, so the birds continued to attack without a king. The Owl Necklace is part of a collection of ethnic Jewels and Pendants inspired by the traditions and aesthetics of specific tribes, more or less ancient, from various parts of the world. The Project aims to rediscover and enhance the identity and peculiarities of local cultures through the revival and reinterpretation of ethnic jewelry, talismans, amulets to counter the megatrend of communication, of the uprooting/disembedding, of the loss of the memory of the past, triggered and fed by the ideology of globalization. Within ancient tribal cultures, everything worn, especially during religious ceremonies, was cloaked in an aura of mystery and sacredness. Consequently, the jewels, although also having a decorative and ornamental function, first of all, were thought to have deep symbolic and magical values linked to religion and superstition. To remain faithful to this spirit and since in the realization of ceremonies and magical rituals are fundamental not only the gestures that are performed and the formulas that are pronounced but also the tools that are used, the creation of this mini-sculpture has followed a specific path in tune with the secret rules of the Arcane in order to load it with appropriate energies. Being an artisan product, Amira di Transilvania, WITHOUT additional costs, can create similar jewels PERSONALIZING THEM according to the needs, the desires and the tastes of the individual customer. THE CHIPPEWA EAGLE JEWEL. The Chippewa Eagle Jewel is a unique and original necklace of ethnic-styletribal created and painted by hand by Amira Munteanu Bergmann. Taking inspiration from the. Stylistic and aesthetic canons typical of the Indians of America belonging to the Chippewa tribe. It is an homage to them payed by reproducing two fundamental elements of their culture: the eagle and the dream catcher. The central body of the Bijoux is composed of a black disk in polymer clay decorated with elements of mother-of-pearl and stones glued to it with smears of clay reminiscent of a spider’s web. From this composition emerges the head of an eagle. To complete the disc-“dream catcher” is a series of pendants formed by traditional colored feathers interspersed with sequences of beads and elements in polymer clay and tassel. The upper part of the Jewel consists of a series of semi-spheres in avocado wood interspersed with other elements in polymer clay and is closed by a chain. Being a handmade product, if, on the one hand, its various components do not have a regular shape, on the other hand there can never be a jewel identical to this. The eagle is one of the most sacred animals for Native Americans. Warriors of many tribes wore one or more of its feathers that were sometimes cut, colored or otherwise decorated with some discretion of the bearer, but always according to canons shared within the community. The Chippewa allowed a warrior who had scalped an enemy to wear two eagle feathers on his head, while the act of capturing a wounded prisoner on the battlefield conferred the honor of wearing five eagle feathers. At the same tribe there was also a particular legend about the dream catcher. A spider wove its web in a corner, near the place where Nokomis, an old woman, used to sleep. The old woman, daily, watched the spider work. One day she was visited by a nephew who, seeing the spider, was frightened and tried to kill it, but her grandmother prevented him. The young man, astonished, asked her the reason for her behaviour, but she only passed him without giving any answer. The Moon, meanwhile, approached the window, illuminated the web with its rays. Then the spider gave the promised gift to the old woman: a dream catcher. Giving it to the old woman, the spider invited her to observe it carefully, explaining that it would be able to capture the bad dreams, leaving only the beautiful ones in the central hole. The Chippewa Eagle Necklace is part of a collection of ethnic Jewels and Pendants inspired by the traditions and aesthetics of specific tribes, more or less ancient, from various parts of the world. THE NAVAJO BEAR JEWELRY INSPIRATION. The Navajo Bear Jewel is a unique and original necklace of ethnic-tribal style created and painted by hand by Amira Munteanu Bergmann taking inspiration from the stylistic and aesthetic canons typical of the Indians of America belonging to the Navajo tribe. The central body of the Bijoux is formed by a black support decorated in gold on which rests the head of a bear surmounted by a large blue crystal and followed by a decoration with various white elements in the shape of a grain of rice that somehow recall the feathers used by American Natives. The top is adorned with a series of semi-spheres in avocado wood interspersed with gold, turquoise and brown beads that end with a piece of golden chain closed with a hook. A large “stone” from which hangs a “tusk” of bear shaded from white to yellow, from turquoise to black, concludes the composition. Being an artisanal artifact, if, on the one hand, the various elements do not have a regular shape and may present imperfections, on the other hand there can never be a jewel identical to this. The necklace is dedicated to the Bear whose “spirit” was invoked by the members of the Navajo tribe as a witness in the solemn oaths. The main symbolic elements present in the small work of art are. The Navajo Bear Necklace is part of a collection of ethnic Jewels and Pendants inspired by the traditions and aesthetics of specific tribes, more or less ancient, from various parts of the world. Amira Munteanu Bergmann has taken care of the whole production process of the Jewel: from the concept to the creation of the various components, from their assembly to their coloring and decoration.
