Alex Sanchez has been making jewelry for over 10 years. He makes beautiful works of art in contemporary and traditional fashion. He is most known for his Petroglyph style that he has been perfecting for some time. His traditional work is fascinating as well, he uses some of the best turquoise in his works and builds the silver around the stones. His Petroglyph works include suns, bears, dragonflies, stars, and many other designs. He overlays these designs on a beautiful textured and oxidized background. Alex is a world class Navajo artist and his works will be very collectible for years to come. This is a, sterling silver, Navajo pendant with a natural rare Damele Turquoise stone. The stone used for this pendant is a beautiful yellow/gold color with an amazing brown matrix. Alex handmade this pendant in traditional fashion. The stone sits in a smooth bezel with a hand twisted rope of silver at its base, with 3 beads on the top of the stone and five round repousse bump outs to the bottom. Sanchez added two Repoussé style dangles to the bottom. Alex finished the silver with a beautiful black oxidation and a high shine. The measurements for this pendant are 3-5/8 inches from top of bale to bottom and 1-3/8 inch at widest point. The bale has a 7/16 inch diameter. The stone measures 3/4 inch long by 1/2 inch at widest point. Weighs 21.1 grams. Stamped Sterling and Alex Sanchez.
