Alex Sanchez has been making jewelry for over 10 years. He makes beautiful works of art in contemporary and traditional fashion. The stone used for this pendant is a beautiful yellow/gold color with an amazing brown matrix. Alex handmade this pendant in traditional fashion. The stone sits in a smooth bezel with a hand twisted rope of silver at its base, with 3 beads on the top of the stone and five round repousse bump outs to the bottom. Sanchez added two Repoussé style dangles to the bottom. Alex finished the silver with a beautiful black oxidation and a high shine. The measurements for this pendant are 3-5/8 inches from top of bale to bottom and 1-3/8 inch at widest point. The bale has a 7/16 inch diameter. This is a remarkable vintage Navajo hand made cuff, pendant, and ring slave set. The jewelry is made of sterling silver and very rare and valuable Damele turquoise or variscite. The gemstones are light green with reddish brown webbed matrix. The stones are domed and set in scalloped bezels. The largest stone, in the cuff, is about 21mmx 14mm. The other two are about 19mm x 12mm and 17mm x 11mm. The silverwork is also impressive for the quality and precision of the feathers and rain beads. Some would call this “old pawn” style. The three pieces are connected with a hand made link chain. Tested positive as sterling The set has a very nice patina. There is no damage, and little to no surface wear. Honestly, it looks unworn. It is very well cared for. Inside circumference: 5 1/8″ Gap: 1 1/4″ Width at widest part of cuff: 1 1/2. Pendant, including rings 1 1/2″ x 7/8″. Ring: 1 3/8″ x 7/8″. Finger size 7.75 – 8.
