Have owned this canteen for more than 30 year’s. It is exactly as the day I bought it I never cleaned it as I didn’t want to mess the original patina up. I leave any cleaning up to the new owner. It’s from an estate sale in the. This exquisite antique metal and Rawhide Stitched canteen said to have been used in the revolutionary war in that area of Virginia. 8″ Diameter 3 1/2″ wide.
