Navajo SLEEPING BEAUTY TURQUOISE CONCHO BELT, Stamped Repousse Silver, RARE GEMS. This is a simply sensational handcrafted stamped repousse and turquoise concho belt by Navajo artisan Joey McCray. This gorgeous concho belt features hand stamped repousse german silver conchos accented with rare high grade Sleeping Beauty turquoise cabs in the center. The stones have very little matrix and has been stabilized to retain its sky blue color and hardness. Rare gems because the Sleeping Beauty mine has been closed since 2012 and no more has been mined. There are six ovals and seven butterflies hand stamped from german silver and given exquisite repousse details. Backed by leather for more stability. The ovals measure approx 2-1/2″ x 3″ while the butterflies are about 2″ x 1-1/8″ wide. Given a high shine finish.
