This sculpture is in perfect condition. Nbsp;Bronze Dimensions with Marble Base: Height 14″ X Width 10″. Marble Dimensions: 7 1/2″ X 6″. Height without base: 10. Presenting an extraordinary bronze bust, this remarkable artwork depicts a Native American warrior chief with an awe-inspiring gaze that captivates the observer. Radiating spiritual fortitude, he embodies the untamed and resolute essence of his heritage. The warrior chief’s hair is adorned with braids intricately wrapped in strips of deer hide, accentuated by a lustrous turquoise patina. Flowing gracefully from the back of his hair, a long feather gracefully defies gravity, also finished with a captivating turquoise patina. Drawing attention to his chest, he proudly wears a bone breastplate, a popular ornament and symbol of prestige among warriors. The number of hair-pipe bones incorporated into the breastplate often signified the warrior’s wealth. Although occasionally worn in battle, these breastplates provided limited protection against arrows or bullets, primarily serving as decorative or ceremonial adornments. Meticulously crafted using the ancient technique of lost-wax casting, this sculpture beautifully captures the intricate details and textures, while the nuanced brown patina stain lends a lifelike quality to the chief’s skin tones, further perpetuating the authenticity of the piece. Enhancing its presentation, the chief is elegantly mounted upon a black marble plinth, lending a touch of sophistication and stability to the sculpture. The plinth proudly bears the signature of the esteemed artist Milo, symbolizing the artistry and quality synonymous with his name. This magnificent bronze bust pays homage to the noble spirit of Native American warriors, making it a captivating addition to any collection. Its exquisite craftsmanship and profound storytelling ability transport viewers to a realm of rich cultural heritage and timeless resilience.

Antique Artifact Native American Spindle Half Bowl Piece Find unmounted arizona. This is a large piece that was mounted in a beautiful box and was disintegrated and deteriorated. Unrepaired large portion and reattached two smaller pieces. PRICE ADJUSTED FOR BREAK. I saved most of it, and have in a loose box as of now. This style was noted as “pre” Apache and detailed as before settlement and simple design before black figures painted and scribed on sides by Navajo etc. The detailing on sides and groove depth also if held up. This one is incredible. Areas of origin, Zuni, Apache And Navajo Hopi as well gentleman was from Midwest famous explorer 1913 to 1923 and after was a doctor from the Mormon church many findings I’ll send some pictures with this piece as well. All measurements are there was found and labeled area in picture and documented on finding. Pre Apache settlement stated and found with other colleagues. Multiple pieces in and around described as northern eastern Arizona. Had story about his father and other colleagues were having trouble with newly Arizona state, federal or authority figure because they were befriending Indian tribes in those areas and staying the night with them out in the field. An officer had told him these aren’t your people, etc. And he stated they are more my people than they are yours. I thought that was pretty cool. Many different names but the main one was William P Thornhill, or William B Thornhill Terry, something, etc. If you look at the other pieces that came from the same area they’re really cool and I might keep this piece if it doesn’t sell quickly and re-frame label, etc. But I have so much stuff and cannot get some appraised. Let me know if you have any questions.
