Frankly, it doesn’t get any better than this. Livingston pin/pendant on a stand is rare, perfect and hugely collectible! The sterling incredibly detailed piece has raised hands, etc. On the sterling and sterling detailed feathers from the headdress. The face is intricately carved intarsia of hard stone, sardonyx, turquoise, etc. And the lower part is intarsia of coral, onyx, turquoise, etc. As if this were not sufficient, there is a stand on which the piece can be displayed (the stand holder is part of the back of the piece). The stand, also carved and signed, is solid rhodochrosite. The piece measures 3.5″ by 1.25″ and the stand is 2″ by 1″. Paul Livingston was born in Gallup, NM in 1954 and has lived on the Navajo Church Rock Reservation his entire life. Studying jewelry with his uncle, he went on his own at 22 years of age. His work, collected internationally, is known for his attention to detail, his use of gems and materials not commonly used in Native American pieces and his rare talents and skills as a gem saw artist. Here are 2 large, rare Native American Santo Domingo Pueblo Indian necklaces. First one is museum quality, handmade, graduated multi-stone with turquoise, mother of pearl, fossilized coral, black jet, multi-stone inlaid heishi disc beads and skilled overlaid shell work with sterling silver spacer beads and customary sterling silver hook and eye closure. It measures approximately 28 inches long and weighs 76 grams. The other necklace measures approximately 20 inches long and weighs 53 grams. It has gorgeous mother of pearl inlaid with turquoise and fossil coral plus turquoise and jet heishi beads and handmade sterling silver cones and closure. Condition of both is excellent, with nice patina (kept in glass case for many years). Beautiful works of art, made in the traditional way with genuine, natural stones and shells..
