THE DESERT BOUTIQUE KUWAIT. This set of beautiful hand made buckskin Native American Onondaga Nation hair ties are vintage from the early 80’s. They were rarely worn, carefully preserved, and are in excellent vintage condition. The beads are all very tight and the threads are as new. There are some cracks in the shafts on the hanging parts (see images). There is discoloration of the buckskin and darkening, which is expected, and desired. The laces are delicate, perfect, and fully usable. They are made of the softest buckskin leather, so care when tying is recommended. These fantastic pieces of art are made with genuine turquoise beads, and genuine shafts, in addition to the seed beads. These are being let go sadly in order to give another person happiness… Who will love them and care for them, and most of all use or display them. These are located in Kuwait (where I now live). Her body is in amazing shape, no marks of any sort that I could find. Her face, makeup, and eyelashes are in very nice condition. She does not have any smudges or missing makeup that I can tell, but she does have a few very small white marks above her left eyebrow. I did not try to remove them, so maybe they can be removed with the right cleaner! Kiana will come with some of her original clothes and accessories, but not all of them. I did my best to hunt down most of her original outfit. Her clothes are in great condition! No rips, stains, or tears that I could find. However, both of her shoes show some signs of wear as well as her purse. Kiana’s hair is in gorgeous condition! It’s soft, long and uncut. I used a bit of styling gel on her hair when styling it, so her hair will be slightly stiff and may smell like styling products! Kiana will be carefully and securely packaged to ensure that she arrives to you safely! Kiana may show some signs wear on her clothes and/or body that I might have missed. This listing is for a vintage hair pin. I have not seen one like this one ever and I have a few. I was wondering how it worked until it used a hair sample on it. The pin is 4 12 long so you could get a lot of hair in there it has grooves in it to make it easy to put a little hair or a lot in the hair piece. You can see all the jibberish on the back there could be a signature in there but I doubt it. Most of these older pieces are not signed anyway. This was a super cool find. Kinda wanted to keep it but then need to sell unfortunately! You don’t have to have long hair to wear this. Or if you do, its great for a ponytail. I would venture to say this is 30’s era. By the 40’s and 50’s barrettes with clips came along. This is a great old hair ornament sure to be noticed! The oval part of this is stamped so pretty, it measures 3″ long and 1 1/2″ wide with very pretty stamp work. Great conversation piece too. The weight is with the pin 16 grms. So its a good sturdy piece. Nice for the collectors out there or someone who likes vintage Native American jewelry. It has been tested on the back to be sterling silver.
