This incredibly rare high quality sugilite pendant was handmade by Navajo Albert Jake to exemplify clean stampwork and incredible symmetry. Sugilite is a stone which is rarely seen and even more scarecely seen in such high quality, deep purple dues. Albert Jake completes this pendant with fine details such as twist wire wrapped its stone and carefully placed stamps to create dimention. Measuring 2″ long by 1 1/2″ wide at the largest points, this pendant stands out and commands attention. The bale of this pendant is capable of surrounding 18mm Navajo pearls (not included). For your consideration, a very special Plateau Native American Cradleboard Doll, possibly Nez Perce. I believe this doll is from the early to mid-19th Century and features real hair, incredible beadwork using several kinds of metallic faceted beads, a buckskin-covered cradleboard and fantastic large trade bead eyes. Incredible detail, right down to berry-stained cheeks and a stitched nose! There is a small amount of missing beadwork with normal wear for such an old and important toy.
