You are looking at a beautiful Rare vintage 1940’s Native American Zuni handmade small sterling silver Hopi Bird design bolo tie set with stunning mosaic inlay multi gemstones. Stones including turquoise, coral, onyx and mother of pearl. Tips are sterling as well. This rare piece was handmade by the famous Zuni artist Myra Tucson (wife of Homer Vacit). Myra has made quality pieces for over 3 decades and her work is published in several Zuni Books. This piece is an example of her early work. It’s a Great collectors piece. Notice the inlay detail & overall craft work design on this lovely piece. Still has its natural dark patina on the silver. Hard to find older quality pieces like this. Rare 1940s Native American HERBERT TSOSIE Navajo Sterling Silver Eagle Pendant. This stunningly large pendant was hand made around the 1940s by famous Navajo artisan Herbert Tsosie and features an eagle at the center of an ornately decorated and partially gilt teardrop shape. This powerful piece measures 2 3/4″ long x 1 1/2″ wide and weighs 19.5 grams. Very good vintage condition with some patina according to age which can be polished away easily if desired. Stamped “Sterling” and carrying Tsosie’s designer mark “HT”. A very unusual and rare vintage piece! This is signed with his earliest pictograph signature. Dean Siwingyumptewa was a Hopi GI Bill class of of 1947 to 1949 graduate. His work is very rare and highly sought after.
