THIS IS AN IMMACULATE PRE-MILLENIUM BOLO TIE BY A UNIQUELY TALANTED FOURTH GENERATION NATIVE AMERICAN SILVERSMITH. David Yellowstone bolo ties are rare, as he made very few of them in his career. The subject matter increases it’s rarity. His main focus has been making stunning artwork handles for bowie knives. This bolo is very rare as it is in near perfect condition. With so few of these beautiful pieces ever created, they are hard to come by. This piece does not have it’s original box, instead it comes in a nice fabric covered box to protect it. The medallion measures 2 inches high, 1 ½ inches across the top, 1 ¼ inches across the bottom and? Inch thick. The leather tie is 19 inches long including the decorative ends that are made of silver, which is a very unique feature of this tie vs. His other works finished with a wood toggle instead. Material: Silver, Turquoise, Jet, Coral, Ironwood. Condition: Prestine-Very Rarely worn, only taken out one time in the last 25 years. This piece has been kept by one family and cared for over the decades. BOLO TIES – HERITAGE AND STYLE EVEN TODAY! A bolo tie, particularly in the American West, symbolizes rugged individualism, craftsmanship, and a connection to heritage. It represents a rejection of traditional neckties and embraces a more relaxed, yet stylish, approach. For some, it also signifies a personal connection to Western culture, Native American artistry, or even a statement of unconventional style. Bolo ties are now paired with tailored suits (for formal events) and denim jackets (casual wear), transcending Western aesthetics. TODAY: Celebrities like Beyoncé and Post Malone have worn bolo ties, further amplifying their mainstream appeal. David Yellowhorse is a fourth generation Native American Navajo Silversmith, whose reputation for creating handmade tribal works of art has brought him recognition throughout the jewelry and cutlery industries. David is a master at his craft and his work is highly regarded and collected worldwide. Credit to: Buck Collectors Club.
