These are a fantastic set of RARE Vintage Navajo Sterling Silver and 14K Yellow Gold C lip Earrings. These feature a Kokopelli, sun face, and spirit bear design. The earrings measures about 1″ tall by 7/8″ wide. These earrings are stamped 14K Lee Bennett Sterling. These are vintage sterling silver earrings and may have some tarnishing. The incredible archaeological interpretation of this rare artifact engravings are related to astrological events; with additional interpretation that the Chumash used these objects to observe the solstices. These types of artifacts are known as “portable cosmos” which refer to the universe and are small enough to be carried versus large stone petroglyphs that are permanent structures. This artifact was part of a 1920’s private collection found at Malaga Cove California, what is now known as archaeological site CA-LAN-138. This is an impressive Vintage Navajo Sterling Silver pendant necklace with a large squared. # 8 Turquoise stone. Bordering the pendant are fabulous graduating Silver raindrops with circular patterns and a large silver bail which will accommodate a larger chain up to 1/2″ x 3/8″. The pendant measures around 2″ x 1″ including the large Silver bail. The long Sterling Silver Chain is absolutely stunning in itself with unusual links and hand-made decorative attachments with a lobster clasp. The Artist’s stamp is on an attached Sterling silver tag to the chain. Chain is 28 long with a 14′ drop. Signed by Navajo Artist BD Bennett.
