Born in 1917, the artist created many memorable pieces. Her art is rare and hard to find. It is so vivid and evocative. Adopted by Sitting Eagle of the Sioux, Gerta was originally born in Denmark and emigrated to Canada. It is hard to find much information about her. Each image is double matted inside the frame.
