This sculpture is in perfect condition. Bronze Dimensions with Marble Base: Height 14″ X Width 10″. Marble Dimensions:7 1/2″ X 6″. Height without base:10. Presenting an extraordinary bronze bust, this remarkable artwork depicts a Native American warrior chief with an awe-inspiring gaze that captivates the observer. Radiating spiritual fortitude, he embodies the untamed and resolute essence of his heritage. The warrior chief’s hair is adorned with braids intricately wrapped in strips of deer hide, accentuated by a lustrous turquoise patina. Flowing gracefully from the back of his hair, a long feather gracefully defies gravity, also finished with a captivating turquoise patina. Drawing attention to his chest, he proudly wears a bone breastplate, a popular ornament and symbol of prestige among warriors. The number of hair-pipe bones incorporated into the breastplate often signified the warrior’s wealth. Although occasionally worn in battle, these breastplates provided limited protection against arrows or bullets, primarily serving as decorative or ceremonial adornments. Meticulously crafted using the ancient technique of lost-wax casting, this sculpture beautifully captures the intricate details and textures, while the nuanced brown patina stain lends a lifelike quality to the chief’s skin tones, further perpetuating the authenticity of the piece. Enhancing its presentation, the chief is elegantly mounted upon a black marble plinth, lending a touch of sophistication and stability to the sculpture. The plinth proudly bears the signature of the esteemed artist Milo, symbolizing the artistry and quality synonymous with his name. This magnificent bronze bust pays homage to the noble spirit of Native American warriors, making it a captivating addition to any collection. Its exquisite craftsmanship and profound storytelling ability transport viewers to a realm of rich cultural heritage and timeless resilience. I’ve always been fascinated by arrowheads, coins, currency, militaria, art, and just about anything with history behind it. Every piece has a story. And I enjoy finding collectors for the ones that catch my eye. I’m always open to fair deals and good conversations. Daniel’s Relic Colosseum is proudly veteran-owned. Is a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) included? If a COA is included, you’ll see it photographed in the listing. It’s important for collectors especially novice collectors to know that a COA is an opinion from an individual and not a guarantee. If there’s no COA, the item is considered uncertified, and it’s up to you as the collector to decide if it belongs in your collection and if your willing to take the chance on the piece. I’m always happy to help fellow collectors find the right piece for their collection. Sourced from a long-term private estate collection in Ohio.
