ESTATE FIND NATIVE AMERICAN SLATE PENDANT/ BUTTERFLY GORGET/BANNERSTONE. This piece is in amazing condition. Such a beautiful piece of artwork. I sure wish I knew what they used these for hundreds of years ago. Size is 6 3/4″ wide x 2 5/8 tall with the inside of the wings being 3 3/4″ apart and the holes are about 1 3/4 apart in the middle. The thickest part of the middle is about 7/8 thick. The previous owner “now deceased” collected points from fields and streams throughout South Central Indiana for over 70 years. Some points in his collection were acquired from the Indianapolis Childrens Museum, and the Eiteljorg Museum when they periodically deacessioned pieces from their collections. Please follow me, or see my other auctions for numerous other pieces being offered from this large collection. I will be listing pieces for probably at least a month. All sales as is. Please do not ask. There are hundreds and hundreds of points in this collection, so it may be a while before I consider breaking them down.
