Antique basket Native American Abenaki splint 2 tier hang wall pocket 19th rare. Antique hanging basket 2 tier wall pocket. This is rare form, very hard to find 2. Original 1800s, shows wear, and break to top back, see photo 3. Found in barn attic here in NH 4. Hand made in NH or Maine, probably on the coast, by one of the Abenaki tribes 5. Definitely old, not a reproduction 6. This basket has been used 7. Top probably broke from the weight in the two pockets 8. Top pocket bows slightly, see photos 9. Basket is mostly good except for the top, a couple of small breaks in the back, see photo 10. With the exception of the top the basket is solid, very sturdy.
